Sunvim Motor
Highly customized and efficient motors tailored for peak operational output in key Indonesian industrial and oceanic complexes.
As Southeast Asia’s largest economy, Indonesia is undergoing an unprecedented industrial revolution. Guided by the national strategic framework "Making Indonesia 4.0", sectors like food and beverage, chemicals, mining, textiles, and automotive manufacturing are rapidly upgrading their infrastructure.
Simultaneously, the Indonesian government has pledged aggressive climate targets under its Net Zero Emission (NZE) 2060 program. In this landscape, industrial electricity usage accounts for over 35% of national power consumption, with electric-motor-driven systems (EMDS) exhausting up to 70% of that total. High electricity tariffs and emerging carbon tax regulations are forcing operators to optimize operations.
Traditional three-phase induction motors (IE1 and IE2) suffer from high rotor losses and diminished efficiency under partial loads. The FP Series Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSM) bypass this limitation entirely by using high-coercivity NdFeB (Neodymium Iron Boron) rare-earth permanent magnets embedded in the rotor.
By removing excitation losses from the rotor, the FP Series achieves exceptional IE5 ultra-premium efficiency. For large-scale facilities in industrial zones across Cikarang, Karawang, and Surabaya, switching to FP Series PM motors translates to direct energy savings of 10% to 30%, guaranteeing rapid return on investment (ROI) within 12 to 18 months.
Comparing permanent magnet architecture with standard induction configurations under real-world industrial environments.
| Performance Parameters | FP Series PM Motor (IE5 PMSM) | Standard Y2 Induction Motor (IE2/IE3) | Indonesian Industry Advantage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rotor Flux Generation | Neodymium Rare-Earth Magnets (NdFeB) | Induced Electromagnetic Field | Zero rotor thermal losses; cooler operation. |
| Efficiency Under Partial Load | Extremely High & Flat (95%+ from 25-120% load) | Drops sharply below 70% load | Excellent for variable-load palm oil crushers. |
| Power Factor | 0.97 ~ 0.99 (Virtually no reactive penalty) | 0.80 ~ 0.85 (Varies with load) | Avoids PLN power factor penalty fees. |
| Power Density (Frame Size) | Ultra-compact (1-2 frames smaller for same power) | Bulky & Heavy | Saves floor space in crowded processing plants. |
| IP Rating & Enclosure | IP55 / IP66 (Enhanced sealing) | IP54 / IP55 standard | Resists severe tropical humidity & dust. |
Tailoring FP Series PM Motors to solve critical operational and environmental challenges in Indonesia's dominant industries.
Indonesia is the world’s leading palm oil producer. Extracting, clarifying, and milling crude palm oil (CPO) requires heavy machinery—screw presses, centrifuges, and palm kernel crackers—operating continuously under high-ambient heat and corrosive environments. The high torque-to-inertia ratio of the FP Series provides robust startup power under heavy loads while minimizing grid-draw spikes.
From coal mines in East Kalimantan to gold operations in Papua, mining environments demand dust-tight, highly resilient machinery. Our FP Series PM motors can be paired with high-performance VFDs to run long-distance belt conveyors and heavy slurry pumps with unmatched variable speed control, dramatically dropping downtime and maintenance overheads.
With massive municipal development projects in Nusantara (IKN) and regional urban centers, high-capacity water pumping is critical. The high efficiency of our PM motors ensures that water supply and treatment facilities can drastically reduce municipal utility bills while offering trouble-free continuous duty cycles.

Our FP Series PM Motors (PMSM) rely on permanent magnets embedded in the rotor rather than relying on electromagnetically induced magnetic fields. This eliminates rotor electrical resistance losses completely, which reduces heat output and yields IE5 ultra-premium efficiency levels. Additionally, they maintain extremely high efficiency even at partial loads, whereas standard induction motors suffer sharp performance drops below 75% load capacity.
Absolutely. All FP Series motors shipped to Southeast Asian markets are tropicalized. We apply vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) with premium class H insulation materials, supplemented by double anti-corrosion varnish coatings on critical surfaces. Our housings are IP55 sealed as standard, with options for IP56 and IP66 configuration for severe offshore or pulp mill environments, keeping moisture out and maintaining consistent uptime.
Because they are synchronous motors, they do require a VFD featuring PMSM sensorless vector control algorithms rather than being connected directly to mains power. Most modern industrial VFDs (such as ABB, Siemens, Schneider, Yaskawa, and local high-grade drives) support these algorithms natively. We provide comprehensive configuration manuals and direct remote engineering assistance during commissioning to ensure perfect drive calibration.
In most Indonesian processing operations with continuous duty cycles (S1 duty, 24/7 runtimes like Palm Oil, Metallurgy, or Water pumping), the energy reduction averages between 12% and 25%. Considering PLN industrial power tariffs, the capital expense difference is typically amortized in 12 to 18 months, with the motor going on to yield decades of continued operational cost savings.
