Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSM) represent a paradigm shift in industrial motion control. Gaomi Electric Appliance Factory was established, laying the foundation for decades of electrical engineering excellence. Later in 1988, it was renamed as Weifang Electric Machinery Factory.
Mr. Sun, then the factory director, left the Gaomi Electric Appliance Factory and set up Gaomi Towel Factory, the predecessor of the multi-billion RMB Sunvim Group.
Weifang Electric Machinery Factory was acquired by Sunvim Group, and Shandong Sunvim Electrical Machinery Co. Ltd. was formally established, integrating massive capital and resources.

To mitigate supply risks and reduce environmental impact, our R&D team is actively transitioning to heavy rare-earth-free (HRE-free) permanent magnets. By utilizing advanced Grain Boundary Diffusion (GBD) technology, we maintain high coercivity and thermal demagnetization resistance while significantly reducing the use of scarce elements like Dysprosium (Dy) and Terbium (Tb).
Physical encoders are often the primary point of failure in harsh industrial environments. Sunvim's next-generation PMSM systems are optimized for sensorless Field-Oriented Control (FOC). By utilizing high-frequency injection and state-observer algorithms, our systems accurately calculate rotor position and speed from back-EMF, ensuring high-precision control without fragile external sensors.
For space-constrained applications such as electric vehicles, marine propulsion, and integrated pump systems, axial flux PMSMs represent the future.
